yea but they could get all the unemployed out to work sweeping the streets reserve garda also if the government put out a tender they can only pick the best value one but the companys applying for the tender know its the government so they hike up the price

That one about the dole for under 20's being halved is ridiculous, I have a job and am over 20 but what about these young lads and girls who have left school to take up a trade and have been let go due to the current climate, this means that they have to survive on €100 a week that's pathetic.

They should be cutting for some of the over 20's who have been sitting on their couches in their string vests scratching their arses for the last few years.

agree about the over 20;s, but also think the students need to get a job hippies!! its an incentive for them to get training i think, i think if they go for the training they get the full ammount.

Yeah but to train them it will cost money, maybe give them 60-70% if they attend training or the like through Fas or something

Dole is only 50 quid up north, so e100 is still probably higher than most European countries.

And if you get rid of FF, who do you put in instead, them equally clueless FG idiots?

Cutting under 20s is better than over. You leave school at 18 so it much easier move back in with parents. Also you would have far less commitments than someone 20-30.

Although I don't agree with any of it anyway. they are putting more pressure on employers and companies, cost of living is not going down to match the cuts they are making.

The banks have bankrupted the country. They should all be nationalised and have a fresh start, end of.
To be honest never been on the dole once in my life, so I don't have any pity for people who have been on it a lot, I do feel sorry for people loosing their jobs who are not on it by choice.
